What are some ways to follow safe sleep?

At Comfy Little Sleepers, we understand that safe sleep is essential for your baby's health and well-being. Here are some tips to follow for safe sleep:

1. Always place your baby on their back to sleep - this reduces the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).

2. Use a firm and flat sleep surface - avoid using soft surfaces, such as couches or armchairs.

3. Keep your baby's sleep area free of any loose bedding, toys, or other objects - this reduces the risk of suffocation.

4. Share your room with your baby, but not your bed - placing your baby in a separate sleeping area reduces the risk of suffocation, strangulation, and entrapment.

5. Dress your baby in appropriate clothing for the temperature - avoid overheating or overcooling your baby.

6. Breastfeed your baby - breastfeeding has been shown to reduce the risk of SIDS.

7. Wires should be out of baby's reach.

8. Keep your baby away from smokers.

9. Do not use cribs older than 10 years or modified cribs.

10. Make sure there are no gaps larger than two fingers between the sides of the crib and the mattress. By following these tips, you can ensure that your baby is sleeping safely and soundly. If you have any further questions or concerns about safe sleep, please don't hesitate to contact us.
