Mark your calendars for November 5th - it's time to fall back! As the daylight saving time is about to end, it is important to prepare yourself and your family for the time change. Here are some tips that can help you adjust to this change:
Start adjusting your sleep schedule a few days before the time change. Go to bed and wake up 15 minutes later each day to gradually get your body used to the new schedule.
Make sure your child's bedtime routine stays consistent, even with the time change. Stick to their normal routine and adjust the timing by 15 minutes each day leading up to the time change.
Use blackout curtains to help your child adjust to the time change. This will help them sleep better and wake up more easily in the morning.
Limit exposure to electronic devices before bedtime, as the blue light can interfere with sleep.
Encourage your child to read a book or do a calming activity instead.
Keep your home environment calm and peaceful before bedtime. This will help your child unwind and fall asleep more easily.
